Deputy Quality Manager

We’re looking for a professional with following main duties and responsibilities

 

To support or to represent the Head of Quality management for:

  • Implement and ensure compliance with the company’s quality procedures, standards, and specifications;
  • Review customer requirements to ensure they are clearly understood and consistently met;
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to define quality requirements for external suppliers;
  • Develop and maintain an annual internal audit schedule;
  • Conduct internal product, process, and system audits in accordance with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and VDA 6.5 standards;
  • Ensure that manufacturing and production processes comply with international, national, customer, and internal standards;
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency;
  • Define and document quality procedures in collaboration with operational teams;
  • Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures;
  • Monitor performance through data collection and analysis, utilizing tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC);
  • Recommend and support the implementation of quality improvements and process changes;
  • Apply appropriate quality tools and ensure cross-functional teams are trained in their use to enhance overall business performance;
  • Travel to suppliers for audits, assessments, and collaborative quality development initiatives;
  • Visit customers to present quality plans, investigate quality concerns, and independently manage escalated issues;
  • Identify and manage product liability risks throughout the product and process development lifecycle, leveraging expert knowledge to mitigate them;
  • Initiate the containment and blocking of components or materials in response to safety- or reputation-critical complaints, including coordination of necessary tests, validations, and analyses.

 

 

The candidate should meet the following qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality management or related role;
  • Certified in Quality Management Systems Audit, e.g IATF, VDA 6.3, ISO14001, etc.;
  • PSCR and Environmental responsible will be considered advantage;
  • Experience in Customer and supplier communication is a strong plus;
  • Proficient in English, good command of German or another language is a plus;
  • Ability and willingness to travel on a short notice;
  • Proven experience in managing customer and supplier claims;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Effective team player with the ability to collaborate across departments;
  • Solid knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes;
  • APQP, PPAP knowledge;
  • SPC, MSA and Automotive Core tool knowledge;
  • Experience in preparing and managing 8D reports;
  • Skilled in conducting system, product, and process audits;

Competent in performing risk assessments related to product and process quality.
